New Early Risers Study The Theology behind C. S. Lewis's Fiction The Early Risers are beginning a new 15 lecture course on: Thursday, April 18, 2019 7:30 a.m. in the Lounge The Early Risers Bible Study meets at 7:30 a.m. on Thursdays. We share fellowship, breakfast, prayer, and study and still get on our way by 9:00 a.m. Both genders are welcome to join us.
This Weekend, Walk into Lent on a Labyrinth! Saturday, April 6, 2:00-5:00pm or Sunday, April 7, 11:30am - 3:00pm Downstairs in the Great Hall St. Barnabas' will offer an opportunity using a 30 ft. diameter winding path painted on canvas.
St. Barnabas' will offer an opportunity to "Walk into Lent on a Labyrinth"using a 30 ft. diameter winding path painted on canvas. In the Great Hall from 2-5pm on Saturday, April 6, and 11:30am-3:00pm on Sunday April 7. There will be an optional introduction to labyrinths during the first 15 minutes each day. However, you are invited to drop in any time during the walk. Allow about 30 minutes for your experience. Instructions and volunteers will be available to get you started. To protect the canvas, you will be asked to remove your shoes if you are able.
7th Annual "Lenten Sketches" Inter-Denominational Choral Concert - Sunday, March 31st at 4:00 p.m., St. Barnabas' will be host to 70 singers from 5 other area churches with 14 orchestral accompaniment. Lenten Sketches and other pieces will be performed. No cost to attend, but a goodwill offering will be accepted. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Family Promise of Northern New Castle County. Please join us!

Last Tuesday March 5th, the Youth Group hosted a Mardi Gras/Shrove Tuesday pancake supper to raise money for their Mission trip this summer. The event was well attended and fun, but no one remembered to take pictures until we were cleaning up! Thanks to all who came!
The Evangelism/Parish Life Team hosted a Parish Breakfast Sunday, March 3rd, after the 10:00 a.m. service. It was catered by Bachetti's and was held in the Great Hall. Food and fellowship was wonderful and everyone had a fantastic time!
Lenten Potluck Supper & Program - Our tradition of the Wednesday Lenten Potluck Supper continues this year as we gather at 6:30 p.m. in the Lounge to share food, fellowship, a meal and faith formation. This year we will be watching a 5-part video series, "Embracing an Alternative Orthodoxy: Richard Rohr on the Legacy of St. Francis." The potlucks will run from Wednesday, March 13 through Wednesday, April 10.
Congratuations Dylan and Tyler! We welcomed them into God's community of faith last Sunday as they were baptized! It was a joyous, happy, and spiritual day especially when the St. B. Praise Band accompanied the Youth Choir and congregation as we all joyfully sang "This Little Light of Mine"

Join us tonight! Tuesday March 5th for Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras Pancake Supper. The Youth Group will be hosting the supper in the Great Hall at 6:30pm. There will be pancakes, soup and jambalaya. Proceeds go towards defraying expenses for the annual summer Workcamp Mission Trip to help those in needy communities. Suggested donation is $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family. All are welcome! At St. Barnabas' we have many talented parishioners - both young and old. Here are two members of our Youth Group playing a duet on harp and violin at a Saturday Celtic Evensong. It is an Irish piece called Sheebag and Sheemore. Composed by Turlough O'Carolan and arranged by Janet Witman.
